Great blue heron 23-81 came into care on April 27, 2023 after becoming oiled. After being treated for an infection and going through the stressful process of a wash (to remove the oil) this heron was finally ready for release almost 3 weeks later. Blood test results came back normal and the flight test went perfectly so this great blue heron is back in the wild where they belong!
