Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is a 10% tax imposed upon the room rate for any transient person(s) renting space in any hotel in Visalia for a period of less than 30 days. The definition of “hotel” includes Short Term Rentals (STR’s).

City Hall West (which houses the City Council Chambers) is located at 707 W. Acequia Ave. and City Hall East is located at 315 E. Acequia Ave., both in downtown Visalia. City Administration offices are housed at 220 N. Santa Fe St. Representatives include the City Council, City Manager and Chief Deputy City Clerk.
