Especially in this case, because the permeability of ceramic magnets and neo magnets are both extremely low (translation - the magnets don't influence the inductance very much at all).

Mar 22, 2011 · I use the epoxy coated 1" x 1/4" neodymium magnets for the Outside magnets on my frag racks. I don't think I would trust them for very long on the inside. I did buy a couple 1" x 1" 1/4" square rubber coated neodymium magnets and they do seem like they have much more coating on them, than the epoxy coated ones.

Jun 24, 2022 · Rare earth or neodymium magnets will kill every coral and invert in your tank pretty quickly. Even if these are epoxy coated, if the coating cracks that tiny hole can sometimes leach fast enough to kill coral. The only safe magnets are ceramic or very well coated stronger magnets.

Sep 23, 2013 · neodymium ("rare earth") magnets, they'll charge too easily and instantaneously. can be as small as 1/4" x 1/4", i use 3/4" x 3/4". these are extremely powerful magnets. get them online. magnetism is magnetism, to varying degrees of strength - all will charge alnico pickup rod or bar magnets perfectly.

Feb 3, 2014 · easy peasy. lotsa good ways to charge pickups. all you need to fill up the magnetism tanks on yer pickup's alnico rod mags is a pair of 1/2" to 1" diameter neodymium rare earth disc magnets. it doesn't hafta be a bar mag and the mag doesn't need to come into direct contact with the alnico rod mags (in fact, i don't want that to occur). i got my neo mags online …
