Mar 3, 2019 · The fan on my second Switch made a rattling noise which never existed in my first Switch. I replaced the fan and thermal paste and it was silent again even during intensive gameplay. I think it's worth noting that the replacement fan was a Delta brand fan while the bad one was from Foxconn. Nintendo definitely isn't using the same fan across all of their systems.
