May 11, 2015 · Hello all, My iMac was the victim of a 3 year old's errant baseball throw. It chipped the upper right corner of the screen and a crack has spread at a 45 degree angle about 6 inches deep toward the middle of the screen.

Ref; 27" iMac 2019 16GB RAM. After multiple software crashes and unexpected HD shutdowns I ran disk repair. This showed no hardware issues but failed on the data. See attached screenshot for the output. The repair was run in recovery mode.

Jun 3, 2012 · I have always been able to select both and do the Verify/Repair options and haven't had any errors. I am running Lion and do have encrytption enabled. When I boot in recovery mode, I am able to Verify and Repair Disks on the "122.33 GB APPLE SSD" level without any problems. Only when I boot normally and attempt to Verify or Repair the top level.

Oct 8, 2018 · The iMac’s hinge recently broke and I’d like to know if it is eligible for free replacement like stated by online sources which I have researched about. I’d like to confirm if this is true that the repair will be covered by Apple regardless of warranty and Apple Care on models from 2012-2014.Thanks in advance!

To ensure you are trying to repair the correct library, do it slightly differently from Apple's instructions. Launch Photos by clicking the library you want to repair, not the icon of the Photos.app. If the Photos app on your Mac is open, choose Photos > Quit Photos. Select the Photos Library that need repairing in the Finder.
