After troubleshooting, it turns out you have to use their windows store app to get higher resolution video. Of course, therein lies the problem with ultrawide. I have the UltraWideo extension set to 'upscale' to properly fill my screen, but you can't have extensions in the disney app afaik. For me, this only leaves me with one option. *hoists flag*

Still you can use Safari to watch at 1080p but still it is forcing you to a single browser. The new VR headset of Apple will have Disney+ app on launch, but Macbooks, existing for 2 decades, will not have an app.

Then directed me to log back into Disney Plus, click the Disney/Hulu bundle ($9.99), add the ad free option on the next screen ($10). Now I have only Disney and Hulu for $19.99.

As an addendum, perusing the list, I wish they'd gotten the Macross Plus 4-part OVA along with or in lieu of the Movie, as I've always liked the pacing and the narrative differences in the OVA over the movie. Both are great (Macross Plus is my favorite of the entire series, essentially my gateway into the larger world of anime in the mid-90s).

I have to refresh the whole webpage, and it doesn't always go straight back to the episode I was watching, but might go to the overall page for the whole series, and once I was even logged out completely after just trying to refresh.

I will try on my phone later today during my commute (Train) and then my desktop tonight and report back. If its only happening on the Roku stick, then we will know its Roku, if it happens across all devices, then its Disney.

Mostly, I'm interested in the current resolution, my computer can easily playback 4k (even 8k content, depending on codecs) and my Internet bandwidth is usually good enough to load anything Youtube at 4K@60/HDR (if available of course).
