Yuqi’s charisma is so powerful. The MV is very pretty but I would have taken a more whimsical approach (ex have her creating magical moments around the town or an Alice in wonderland kind of vibe) having her be alone for most of the video felt a little off to me

May 9, 2024 · idols in general are not well known amongst the general public except for a few domestic boy bands and those who became very successful actors. yuqi is definitely known within the kpop/idol fan circles and has a big domestic fanbase, though 3rd gen kpop groups and idols still seem to have a stronger grip

(1) Yuqi hasn’t really made any blatantly nationalistic or political gestures that Koreans don’t like. (2) She’s fluent in Korean, relatively well-mannered (in the Korean context), and has a driver’s license in Korea which is often considered a sign that she intends to live in Korea for a long time.
