The yak 38 can run down subsonics. The yak 38 just needs to get a lock, which it can do from further out than 2km, and wait until it’s in range.

Apr 7, 2021 · The Yak-38 is faster than the Harriers but has a bit worse acceleration and usually noticeably worse turning. If you can keep all of your enemies in-front of you then you should be golden but once someone slips behind you and starts to pursue you then you are most likely dead, especially if they are a supersonic and/or have AAMs.

Try and ambush with the yak 38. Use your quick take offs to get into a good position on the outside of the map then come in behind enemies and hit them with r-60’s. Try and stay undetected so they can’t flare. then return to base. Maybe kill some ai attackers on the way back to rack up some points. Avoid dogfights at all costs.

But the Harriers, all of them are better in the META since they have better missiles both GR1 and GR3/AV-8C which also have flares (super unfair at 9.7). Since they gave fake missiles to GR.1 they should give Yak-38/38M R60M (which it ACTUALY USED) unlike the bs SRAAM on Harrier...
