Oct 1, 2006 · This is a common issue with YZ125's after they get 80-100hrs on them. The PV pin boss fatigues and the press fit is lost. I take the PV's out and drill/tap a 4mm x .07mm hole for a set screw. I grind a small flat on the pin and I tighten the set screw to hold the pin in place.

Apr 1, 2008 · Actually, I had a ported/milled Varner cylinder on my '01 YZ125. It was, hands-down, the fastest 125 I have ever ridden. I pulled good starts at Glen Helen on that bike against 250s and 450s. (Well, 426es.) Judging by all the issues that guy has had recently though, I wouldn't send my stuff to him.

May 6, 2020 · I went with a later PWK 36 carb,,special v force,,pipe,silencer, dg head,83 YZ125 forks,,rebuilt stock 1981 YZ250 shock & spring in back. 1980 465 springs in front,,1981-83 YZ front fender is still available from Yamaha,,special porting. I'm very happy with the stock shock valve of a 1981 YZ250 in mine.

He did my 2003 YZ125 flat top motor that I podiumed the 1st moto in the 50+ on at LL17 and Clayton Miller 2005 YZ125 that I've ridden for the last 2 years at LL23/ 24 with several top 10 motos and overalls!!

Jun 29, 2020 · 38mm Keihin carb & STIC Metering block. This will do more than any other mod. I run them on all our two strokes & have a good buddy who tried them on his YZ125. The stock YZ125 with STIC was so much better than his big bore 144 he bought another.....We have had same results on our TC125's stock with carb vs fully built.....

Sep 14, 2006 · I'm looking for the "safe psi range" for both the 2012 YZ125 and 2012 YZ250 compression. I'd like to base my rebuilds on how the compression reads if that's a smart thing to do. Any info/insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
