Whenever I see posts comparing regional pokemon, ie birds, bugs, or rodents, I can't help but feel Wingull gets easily shafted. It's an early route bird, found easily throughout the region it debuts in maybe moreso than Taillow, and I think there are plenty of others that fit as duel regional, here are my thoughts per Gen.

Wingull is widely available in most games, while Taillow is always a rarity outside of Hoenn. When you look at Bidoof and Starly, they're both just as rare and Sinnoh-classic. Pidgey and Rattata are Kanto-classic and while not rare, they share that characteristic, unlike Spearow.

Jul 10, 2022 · A similar case can be made for Wingull, it's meant to go against the pattern of normal/flying main birds. It certainly helps that Fletchling and Rookidee exist, and show that it is indeed possible even in regions with only a single regional bird.

Wingull has 2 abilities hydration and keen eye, pelipper has keen eye and drizzle. None of these are HAs, so how do you breed for a drizzle pelipper? Do all hydration wingullls turn into drizzle pelippers?

Feb 16, 2023 · Im working on a shiny living dex and got both my wingull for his line on an outbreak right outside of the cave you enter to first get the legendary at the start of the game. Difficult to get an outbreak specifically there but if you can manage its much easier to spot the green arm bands on the sand compared to water. Good luck!
