We are the Welsh Ambulance Service. We provide urgent and emergency care for 999 callers, non-emergency patient transport to hospitals and support 111 Wales.

More than 100 APPs now operate across the Welsh Ambulance Service, dividing their time between 999 callers in the community and patients in the primary care setting. You’ll also find APPs working remotely, where they care for patients over the telephone, helping to organise the most appropriate help based on their needs.

The Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (Welsh: Ymddiriedolaeth Brifysgol GIG Gwasanaethau Ambiwlans Cymru), or simply the Welsh Ambulance Service, is the national ambulance service for Wales. The Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust provides ambulance services across Wales to over 3 million people. The Trust also hosts the 111 service, which is a combination of NHS Direct Wales and the call handling and triage of the GP out-of-hours services.
