In other local news business Sinclair (which WLOS is part of) has shut down (or in the process of) a few of their local TV station's news programming, laying off newsroom staff and replacing the local news with their syndicated program "The National Desk" with more to come. Ouch!

Morning traffic anchor Hannah Ward posted on her facebook page to tune in she has big news to announce on Monday morning. I hope she is not leaving. She has such a great personality.

In regards to disappearing news personalities, anchor Julie Edwards has left. Edwards was a weekday morning anchor for Carolina Morning. WSPA appears to be looking for a weekend morning anchor.
