I've searched and searched and can find tons of commands for video, but none for audio. What am I missing? I need to open VLC, with DirectX selected as the output module, and specify a certain sound driver (I'm using a virtual sound card).

May 13, 2021 · It will be named «vlc-3.0.14-win32.exe» or «vlc-3.0.14-win64.exe» respectively depending on whether you're using a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows. Basically you can just download the current installer, and then select the option to "upgrade/update VLC using the current settings" and it should work fine.

Oct 26, 2024 · From the Windows Event Application Log the crash says "Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\plugins\audio_output\libmmdevice_plugin.dll" I tried uninstalling VLC with Revo Uninstaller, then downloading the correct x64 version of VLC. Same thing.

So I took the exe file for VLC, vlc-2.2.4-win64.exe, and used 7-zip to extract all the files in into a new folder, then searched that folder. I couldn't find spad-setup.exe there ...
