The Visigoths (/ ˈ v ɪ z ɪ ɡ ɒ θ s /; Latin: Visigothi, Wisigothi, Vesi, Visi, Wesi, Wisi) were a Germanic people united under the rule of a king and living within the Roman Empire during late antiquity.
