  1. Quick guide to simultaneous VVE/MAF calibration for gen4+

Nov 6, 2020 · I still see a lot of people using the old method of disabling the MAF to calibrate their VVE on 4th generation LS stuff, that generally being E38 controllers and up. This isn't necessary anymore because you can log those GMVE values in real time with HP Tuners.

  2. Gen4 VVE tuning for boost - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Jan 8, 2025 · that is just a limit in the scanner 512 g/s VE airflow is still increasing. that is just a limit the scanner has. You can change the axis on the VVE tables to pretty much whatever you want. Hptuners has some reasonable pre-made axis's if you click on them. I regularly take VVE SD tuned Gen 4 cars to 220-230kPa +

  3. Tips for VVE Tuning a C6? - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Oct 21, 2024 · Im currently Speed Density tuning using my VVE tables. So far I started with the stock tune, then dialed in the MAF tune to get close to +-3% eq err, and it's very smooth. I went back in the middle of my SD tune to make sure it was dialed in again. For reference, I'll upload the current SD tune that I'm working on and a photo of the stock VVE ...

  5. VVE Assistant.exe - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Apr 7, 2023 · I am going to start a new thread here for the VVE tool I created. We had a good thread going (well we hi-jacked LSxpwrdZ's thread) in the Support > Editor area, and since that really wasn't the right place for it, I decided it was time to move it out and have a dedicated spot for the tool. It really belongs in both Gen 4 and Gen 5 sections though.

  6. What to tune first? MAF, VVE, TIMING- Does it matter?

Jan 9, 2022 · The vve I won't hardly touch any more after it gets really close and is only changing a number or two log to log... 2010 Vette Stock Bottom LS3 - LS2 APS Twin Turbo Kit, Trick Flow Heads and Custom Cam - 12psi - 714rwhp and 820rwtq / 100hp Nitrous Shot starting at 3000 rpms - 948rwhp and 1044rwtq still on 93

  7. E38 VVE tuning questions - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Oct 29, 2024 · The VVE isn't bad at all. I smoothed it by adjusting zone boundaries for you. Outside of that.. The timing is very low for what this is and the PE shoudl be set to something more ideal. Good start on the VVE! BTW. This isn't required.. but the idle areas would be maybe a touch smoother.2011 Caprice 2024.10.24 SD tune 15 AL.hpt

  8. VVE Table - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Jul 3, 2018 · A window will pop up and at the bottom is a drop down box. For an NA setup select .10-1.00 range. For boosted setups under 14psi, use the second option (up to 2.0) and for higher boost levels, select the third option. Now your VVE table will be optimized for the valid range of Pressure Ratios you will see. vvve.PNG vvve2.PNG vvve3.PNG

  9. Quick guide to simultaneous VVE/MAF calibration for gen4

Oct 17, 2020 · Dynamic air exists to correct that inaccuracy during a transition - but it requires the MAF and VVE to be steady-state accurate already. MAF and VVE air estimation are the starting point in the calculation which dynamic then modifies during transients...so you can't calculate GMVE values from dynamic airflow. It only works the other way around.

  10. Tuning MAF and VVE at the Same Time - HP Tuners Bulletin Board

Apr 4, 2023 · So without knowing dynamic is mostly coming from VVE or MAF, what the weighting is, etc.. We just don't have enough to solve. I still think isolating one variable (VVE) by eliminating the other (MAF) is the best strategy. After VVE is independently a good airflow model you can turn the MAF back on and finish the calibration.
