Terry Ann Garr (December 11, 1944 – October 29, 2024), known as Teri Garr, was an American actress. Known for her comedic roles in film and television in the 1970s and 1980s, [5][6] she often played women struggling to cope with the life-changing experiences of their husbands, children or boyfriends.

She has starred in many memorable films, including Young Frankenstein (1974), Oh, God! (1977), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Mr. Mom (1983), After Hours (1985) and her Academy Award-nominated performance for Best Supporting Actress in Tootsie (1982).

Teri Garr (1944–2024) was an American actress who appeared in over 70 films. She began her film career in the early 1960s as a dancer in various musicals before having small speaking roles in Head (1968) and Changes (1969).
