Kaio-ken (界 かい 王 おう 拳 けん Kaiōken, lit. "Fist of the King of Worlds") is a technique invented by King Kai. It multiplies the user's ki for a "heartbeat" and turns their aura crimson - amplifying their power and speed to overcome previously stronger foes at the cost of extreme bodily recoil.

Jul 28, 2023 · My idea for Tien in the tournament of power would be him busting out the kaioken. In dragon ball he made a statement about being able to copy techniques after seeing them once so he could've learned it after seeing goku fight hit.

May 23, 2023 · Not only that, but Tien, Piccolo, Yamcha and Chiaotzu had the perfect opportunity to learn the Kaio-ken from King Kai when they were training with him after being killed by Nappa -- so why didn’t they?

Did Tien know Goku trained in 100x gravity? If he did, then I can see how he'd estimate him to be capable of using a Kaioken x10. If not, then he made a hella educated guess.

Tien combines the KaioKen and Multi Form as he can go up to x20, as can each individual copy, making 4 Tiens 5x stronger than normal. Neither of these are useful in a 1 on 1 against such a strong enemy, but together make it difficult.
