For example, E8, something named Double Slap has the tank buster vibe to it while Absolute Zero has the raidwide vibe to it. While it won't necessarily proc the block on the buster itself, it will most likely still proc on attacks after the buster thus giving you some breathing room while the healers get your HP back up.

O2S, again Tank Busters are followed by tank swaps, so you get some time to breath. TBN + Reprisal + Dark Mind can cover your needs. O3S tank busters are not followed by tank swaps, but you can do it. This tank buster needs to be met with awareness, so TBN+ Awareness + Reprisal should do, but you will probably need to use rampart too...

The tank has a responsibility to use appropriate cool downs to mitigate the damage, and depending on what healing class you are you just need to use your “upgraded” healing skill. WHM would use Cure 2, AST is Benefic 2, and SCH would probably use Lustrate.

Jul 13, 2019 · Just a general note, but all the tanks now have a "block" skill: short cooldown, short duration, medium-high mitigation. This is meant to be used during tank busters to mitigate the damage, and can be used by the OT on the MT for the same effect. DRK- TBN is your buster blocker, cast it on self if MT, on MT if OT. Pretty obvious.

Dec 28, 2021 · In Shadowbringers, that meant it was a tank buster with an AoE (very commonly seen in the Nier raids), but in Endwalker, it just seems to mean a tank buster in general. It's in every dungeon, but the only one (as far as I'm aware) that has an AoE attached to it is the final boss of the level 87 dungeon.

Some tank busters come with debuffs that reduce defense or hp, requiring the use of another tank via "tank swap" while the first recovers from the debuff.
