During the mid-late nineties, Tamiya released the TA03 platform. The chassis utilizes a single belt 4wd system with gears in each gearbox to transmit power to the axles. This came out in 4 configurations: F (Front mounted motor) R (rear mounted motor) & S (short wheelbase) which could be found on both configurations.

Dec 30, 2021 · I'm no fan of the 'street' version of the TA03R-S 911 GT1, but did a bit of reading up and discovered the 1996 Le Mans version (58193) which is stunning. The shape of the shell just suits a racing livery better than a civilian look, in my opinion.

Oct 10, 2021 · Fresh TA03R-S build for this weekend. Pretty awesome. I just bought a new TA03R roller on Ebay. Looking forward to seeing how it is compared to newer machines. Heavy lol, but fun if you enjoy Tamiya's. It's a dated chassis design but still very enjoyable. Have fun with your build! I figured it'd be heavy. I don't plan on racing it.
