Suraj Jagan, born on 11 May 1967, is an acclaimed Indian playback singer recognized for his versatile contributions to the music industry. He gained widespread acclaim for his rendition of the song “Give Me Some Sunshine” from the movie 3 Idiots, earning him the “Best Emerging Male Performer” award at the Max Stardust Awards.

Suraj Jagan has not taken any professional training in singing. He has worked with the Indian musician Shantanu Moitra in various ad jingles. He played a small role in the Hindi film Rock On!! in 2008. In 2009, he gained immense popularity for his song “Give Me Some Sunshine” from the Hindi film 3 Idiots.

Suraj was the front man of English rock bands like , ‘Krysys’ ( 1989 – 1993), ‘Matchbox’( in Hongkong , 1993 – 1995 ), ‘Chakraview’ ( 1995 – 1997 ) & ‘Dream out Loud’ ( 2007 – 2009 ) and has leant his voice to atleast 260 jingles including the ‘Hutch – You & I’ & ‘Vodafone – Happy To Help’ campaigns.
