Sue Dodge is celebrating over 54 years of effective in testimony and song. Four Dove awards for “Best Female Vocalist,” Inductee into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with The Speer Family in 1998 and individually into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2023.

Sue Dodge celebrates over 53 years in Southern Gospel music ministry. She is a world-renown Christian music artist, appearing in many of the Gaither Homecoming videos and is loved by all who know her.

Vienna, VA (April 15, 2019) — Fifty years ago, Sue Chenault was a beautiful young girl who loved Jesus and loved to sing. She sang her very first televised solo at the tender age of 5 years old and by age 16, she was performing on KATV, Channel 7 every day with The Miller Trio.

The couple founded Capital Church in Vienna, Virginia in 1979 and remained on staff for several decades, retiring in the late 2010s. As a soloist during the 1990s, now billed as Sue Dodge, she began appearing on videos in the Gaither Homecoming Series and traveled on the Gaither Homecoming tour as well.
