Jan 31, 2023 · Not the 2005 but,I had a 2001 H6 3.0 and put 80,000km on it over about 10 years up to a total of 180,000km Even with a few bits of body work over the years and a new radiator, it was amazing. O2 sensors and the fuel filling assembly were the most expensive fixes Currently got a 2015 H6 3.6r and have done about 20,000km on it up to 115,000km

Aug 25, 2023 · My 04' H6 was the BEST subaru I've ever owned at just being a great car. We've had more fun cars, but the H6 was good. We bought it at 227k and I reluctantly sold it at 297k. In that time I did valve cover gaskets, and the coolant hard lines on the motor for piece of mind.

May 19, 2006 · My mom is considering buying an Outback H6-3.0 VDC. I have a WRX that I love, and my cousin also has an Outback (2.5l). However my mom is also looking at the Volvo XC70 and maybe the Audi A4 Avant (might be too small though). My question is about the reliability of the H6 engine. I know this is a new engine as of last year(?).

Jan 14, 2013 · 05 baja turbo h6 swap Subaru Conversions. i inadvertantly destroyed the engine in my baja the other day (turbo grenaded and filled the engine with metal, taking a rod and main bearing with it.) so, i have been considering dropping a ez30 or ez30 r into my baja for a while now and have searche and havnt found mutch info on swapping an h6 into a 3rd gen legacy, so i have a few questions,

Mar 12, 2006 · The H6 motor in this car is a JDM 2003-2005 EZ30R motor, 3.0L displacement, AVCS variable valve intake cam timing, and two stage variable valve intake cam lift. This is the second generation EZ30 motor, which has the newer “3 port” exhaust head. It is used in a number of JDM H6 cars, the newer European H6 cars, and the 2004 and up US H6 cars.

Dec 31, 2007 · There are many kits or mods to get a manual transmission into an SVX for example, which comes with the H6-3.3 and ALL SVX models came with automatics. That being said I'm sure you could jimmy-rig a 5-speed WRX or 6-speed STi tranny onto an Outback H6. Any thoughts or even experiences from anyone are more than welcome

Jan 16, 2014 · It is a 2007 Subaru Tribeca with the 3.0L H6. So I was changing the oil on the car and noticed that the coolant overflow was a little low. Added coolant to bring up to the full level while the vehicle was running.

Feb 10, 2016 · I have some information & updates on the dual vortex generated, E3 ignited H6 3.0 Outback. When I installed the E3's, it appeared to be the second set of plugs since new at about 180,000 km. My initial acceleration showed best power at about 4500 rpm, with poor power before and after (on the old plugs).
