The squonk is a mythical creature that is reputed to live in the hemlock forests of northern Pennsylvania in the United States. [ 1 ] Johnstown, Pennsylvania celebrates the Squonk at the Squonkapalooza in August.

Apr 14, 2023 · The Squonk is a poor, sad, ugly creature that lives in hemlock forests. It’s known for its sorrowful cries around sunset as it cries itself to sleep due to being so sad, ugly and lonely. I think I’ve usually heard them described as a bird before.
