Mar 17, 2023 · Sophos earned the reputation from v15 to v18. The product was the literal butt of jokes on release. Wasn't production stable until maybe v18. It's perhaps OK now on v19, but Sophos earned the hate. The main thing is instead of focusing on core reliability and basic stuff, they kept piling on fringe features.

May 10, 2021 · In Sophos Central, go to Endpoint/Server Protection. Go to the Web Control policy that is enforced on the endpoints/servers that you wanted to modify. In the Web Control policy, go to Settings. In the Acceptable Web Usage section, drop down and select Let Me Specify. (This will allow you to customize the policy based on your goal.)

May 19, 2023 · Stop the Sophos System Protection Service. This will flush a telem file to disk. Start it up again and leave it while the issue occurs, leave it for say 5 mins. Stop the service. This will flush a new telem file under: C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Endpoint Defense\Data\LuaTelemetry

Jan 4, 2023 · Install the Sophos Connect Client on your Mac and open it by clicking the icon in the top menu bar. Click the 3 vertical dots on the right and select “Import connection”. Browse to the extracted folder from above and select the .scx file.

Jun 30, 2021 · Never used the SSVM version from Sophos, but I can say with absolute certainty, they are not as bad as you say. Support can be pots, no doubt there, but I have been using their solutions for almost 2 decades now, and I have watched it consistently stop threats, bad(no, terrible) user habits, web threats, and every ransomware attempt against it.

Apr 24, 2023 · Basically, we'll lose all network connectivity from/to a remote site (pinging) but Sophos Dashboard Firewall Management will say the VPN Site-to-site is up. To fix, I'll just go to the remote firewall via Sophos Central, edit the connection profile (description), and save it, forcing the connection to close and re-connect.

I am totally at my wits end here (Sophos and ISP have been less then helpful but have an open ticket with both) and will take any options, or further assistance I can on this. I am looking for hail marys, long shots, or a Wizard to come blow my mind on this.
