There's also not much to explain above the base game, a sequel could simply not out-do SOMA. Though, as the other person here said, Frictional's next game is in space, is SOMA-like and will most likely be non-horror.

Only way I could see a new game in this world is if it was a prequel during the early days and right when shit hit the fan. Or small prequel DLC-like adventures similar to Amnesia’s Justine where you play each of the people we witness memories from in each DLC.

Jan 21, 2017 · I would love to see more 'bottom of the sea' horror, but really they kinda tapped out the robot existentialism with this one; so probably no soma 2 in the future. I guess they could do a prequel, play the people rushing about while the station is falling apart.
