Jan 3, 2012 · I used my Mk17 SCAR-H placIng 1st in Heavy Metal Limited (7 competitors), and 17/79 over all (vs open, tac scope, tac limited, heavy metal scope) I haven't used this rifle competitively much, and the main difference for me vs shooting tac limited is being conscious of the reduced capacity and proactively reloading more often.

Feb 27, 2025 · The SCAR-H is the lightest of these rifles by a good margin. The SFAR is interesting, but certainly hasn't been put through its paces like the above-mentioned battle rifles. Its main claim-to-fame seems to be the weight and size that's akin to the AR-15. Biggest detractor for the SCAR-H/SCAR 17 is probably the cost.

I’ve had a scar 16s sbr for a while and i prefer a ar15 with a super duty mod1 upper so im getting rid of my scar 16s. The 300blk 15p sbr should be worth keeping but only time will tell. I will have to take more time to compare it to a dd or g$ 300blk upper.

I shoot passive with night vision and find the 1.93" mounts about perfect on an AR, do optics feel like they sit about the same on a SCAR compared to an AR or feel higher/lower based off similar cheek/chin weld?
