Feb 27, 2012 · I'm working on a Sansui 9090 and need to replace diodes 10D1 on board F2547 which is the protector circuit board. Can I get some help for a similar diode replacement that will work. I looked at some help sites that had similar issues.

Mar 27, 2024 · The Zener diodes are only 1/2 watt. They get replaced with 1N5252B 24v 1/2 watt. I use 1/2watt metal film resistors at 1% tolerance. Transistors T01/T02/T03/T04 need to be KSC1845FTA or equivalent.

Oct 31, 2018 · Do the fusible resistors and the vd1212 diode replacements for now. They can cause sudden loss of stability in the driver stage and blow a channel (or both). Visually inspect all electrolytic caps in power supply and driver stage for any bulging or leakage out the bottom onto the board, any found in such condition need replacement.

Jan 19, 2022 · solved some issues a few remain and a new one popped up. Replaced the 10dc2 diode on PS board, fuses are holding and voltages look good now. replaced all fuse resistors, vd1212 diodes. unit powers up and comes out of protection, sound is good, meters work.

Jan 28, 2025 · Sansui 9090 -----> LINK. To ensure a proper restoration, it is imperative to replace all electrolytic capacitors on every board. It's akin to replacing one tire on a car while keeping the rest worn-out.

Nov 12, 2012 · The diode VD1212 in the constant current sink is an odd one. I suspect it will be two or three diodes in series in the one package. Thats something to check, that the current sink is working and the voltage across R37 is constant.
