The factory trigger on your Sako can only go so light (around 2 to 2.5 lbs.) before it will become unsafe & your safety will not operate correctly.

Feb 10, 2009 · As can plainly be seen in your photos, it has a much more pronounced curve that puts the handle closer to the scope's ocular bell when lifted. In order to mount the scope on my half-moon .308 as low as I wished, I had to use a Leupold Compact with the smaller ocular bell. bjack10 -- Older, unfired Sakos will naturally bring very good money.

Thanks! I may use it for Rocky Mountain elk this year instead of the .300 WSM. I hunt in trees, anyway, and the elk are usually close. Really a nice little rifle.
