The Sadral is a naval SAM system of French origin. It is a remote controlled sextuple mount for the Mistral missile. It is a point defense system to protect the ship from low flying aircraft and inbound anti-ship missiles.

A close-in weapon system based on Mistral is a six-missile version called Sadral, with a stabilized rapid-reload launcher that is fully automated. A CSEE developed fire control director is integrated to the launcher, consisted of TV camera and FLIR.

Mistral is a short-range air defence (SHORAD) missile system that can be used from vehicles, surface ships, and helicopters, as well as in a portable configuration. The "Mistral" missile is transported in a transport and launch container (MPC) together with "friend or foe" interrogator, power source and tripod with its sighting devices.

The Mubarraz class is a class of two fast attack craft built for the United Arab Emirates Navy in the late 1980s and commissioned in 1990. They have four MM 40 Exocet anti-ship missiles, a Sadral SAM launcher and a 76mm gun. As of 2013 both vessels remain in service.
