May 15, 2015 · Just picked up a rokon / Sachs sa 340 r engine. It had been sitting for years. Looking into the ports the piston and cylinder look very nice, I squirted some oil in the plug hole and in the lower end then rolled it over a few times, it had no spark so I cleaned the points and it cured that problem, the carb was missing the slide and top so I dug around my junk and found an early Yamaha yz 250 ...

Aug 6, 2021 · What are people using for pistons in the Sachs 340R engines? Did a forum search and came up with nothing. As popular as these engines are I'm thinking someone has figured out an alternative to the non-existent factory pistons. GPI has none, they were my first go to.

Apr 28, 2012 · The bore on a sachs 340 ss is about 75.5mm i think and i would need to go to about 81mm to 82mm with a stroke of 75mm for it to be 400cc or close to that i was wondering if anybody has tried this with an arctic cat piston or something …
