  4. Axle choices for S10 SAS? - Pirate 4x4

Oct 16, 2009 · And when the frame and body are totally trashed in the S10, the whole drive train could be swapped into a jeep without much trouble(or another S10). Or parted out to someone building a Jeep or SAS swap for Ranger/Bronco II/S10/4 Runner, etc.

Feb 17, 2008 · i just figured you guys would like to see what a fellow member is up to. my personal goal is to become like the diy4x of the s10 world. so, we have this kit that we are developing for the s10 pickups and blazers, its a bolt on sas kit. it is designed to give 10" or more with SUA, currently the tallest suspension lift for an s10 is 6".

  9. S10 Sas - Pirate 4x4

Nov 20, 2003 · The S10 axles are 7.5" rear 26-spline, and 7.25" front, so Toy stuff is already a good bit better. SAS will make the 4.3L fit better - you won't have to shell out for a stupid "s10 4x4 only" oil pan and oil filter relocation kit. The 4.3L will need a different tranny though. The 5-spd that came behind the 4.3L in the S-trucks can be hard to find.

  10. TOTW #9 - Solid axle swap in S-10/S-15 - Pirate 4x4

May 19, 2003 · I just got done with a SAS for a customer on a '94 XCab S-10. Took out the 4.3, 4L60,231pushbutton and installed a 350, 700R4, 231 manual shift. Used f/r dana 44's from an '86 Grand Wagoneer and they were 3/4" wider than the S-10 axles. Used new *stock* wrangler springs in the front, springover, spaced to waggy spring width.
