SABIC has several policies and programs to promote health and safety. Their policies include procedures to protect employee rights and reduce damages, as well as providing insurance. They require personal protective equipment and restrict unsafe driving behaviors.

In Saudi Arabia, all SABIC-affiliated manufacturing sites are also OHSAS 18001 certified. Furthermore, SABIC’s SHEMs include all key aspects of safety including process safety, industrial hygiene, management of change, transportation safety, and safe work practices.
