Jun 23, 2018 · The MPR comes with a free float handguard, which is an upgrade that helps with accuracy. I wouldn't replace it if I were you. That particular Magpul handguard is designed for the M16 style front sight/retainer on a 20" barrel.

Sep 14, 2018 · Recently purchased a Ruger AR-556 MPR. Mounted a Burris AR-536 Prism scope on it. Took 9 rds to zero in @ 50 yds. @ 100 yds was 3.5 " high. 3 rds to zero @ 100yds. Next 48 rds were all within the 1.5" red circle. Needless to say, I am very happy with this combination. Powder is IMR8208XBR with 69gr. SMK loaded to 2.260".
