In October 1909, Robert Weintraud joined forces with a Frankfurt industrialist, Julius Herzberger, to manufacture and market non-slip tires and metal articles: writing accessories, smokers' accessories, toiletries... On December 30th, 1909, Weintraud GmbH became Rowenta.
