Sep 7, 2019 · Regarding baiting pots, I have determined that the simplest method is to hang the bait (when using rockfish carcasses) from the bottom outside the pot. Easy to bait up and much easier to clean up afterwards.

Sep 29, 2009 · For crabbing in the ocean, I prefer using the round and octagon pots, they keep crab longer and are heavier. I find the danielson pots don't hold up well with 10 to 15 lbs of weight in them, so mine have less weight, 4 to 8 lbs.
