You can modify the appearance of symbols through their properties. You can change properties before or after you place the symbol. Navigate to Annotate Symbol, choose a symbol type, and click in the drawing area to place your chosen symbol. Select the symbol and using Modify¦Generic Annotation Leader: Add.
