Rain's first appearance is as a selectable fighter on Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the SNES and Genesis. Rain does appear briefly in the story mode in Mortal Kombat: Deception, but is not playable. Rain was announced as a future downloadable character for Mortal Kombat.
