You can get a Mauser early on from killing Billy Midnight, other than that, you unlock the semi-auto pistol after the mission ‘The Joys of Civilization’ at the very beginning of Chapter 4, and the Mauser unlocks after the mission ‘That’s Murfree Country’ at the end of Chapter 5.

Sep 19, 2021 · Yes, BUT, the Mauser C96 wins all day every day once you apply the logic of "rule of cool". Plus, honestly, the C96 just feels great in the hand so it shoots so nicely, even if mechanically it is shit compared to the 1911.

May 9, 2019 · But I like the Semi-autos over the mausers beacuse of slightly better fire rate and that they look better imo.. Damage is higher on mauser though, and I think they have the same range.. I went on single player and tested out wich one I wanted in online, but I'll problably buy the mauser aswell when grinded enough cash or gold..

Jul 18, 2019 · Almost the same gun (I wouldn’t be surprised if they literally are the same gun), with two different skins and ammo capacities. Either pick the Mauser because it holds 10 rounds, or pick whichever you like the look of most. That’s the only real difference. Anything else is overthinking this.

I love the mauser, it's my favorite gun. I've just bought the semi automatic too, and they're quite similar. Both guns deplete in quality super fast, meaning you have to clean them more often or they stop being useful, but they fire quickly and I find that if you time the shots properly they are great to land headshots on cpu enemi

I prefer the 1899 because it has a higher capacity and fire rate than a revolver without sacrificing too much damage and accuracy.

Mauser is objectively better than double action. Mauser is by far the best if you are good with headshots. If you meant story, then maybe that 1899 pistol might better, but i didnt use it, because it wasnt out when i played the story
