Among the tested QC tools, QC-Chain could provide a de novo, parallel-computing and extendable solution for quality assessment and contamination screening of metagenomic NGS data. Results on simulated and real metagenomic datasets have shown that QC-Chain is accurate and fast for metagenomic data QC.
