Aug 1, 2023 · The thermal thruster is a jetpack for pyro. It has two charges which allows you to go to some places quickly. Pressing left click allows you to fly a little bit up, then launches you to where you're looking at. If you look up, you will continue to go up. looking down will push you down. Same for every other direction.

Jul 2, 2020 · I mean it’s ok at a movement option but if you think about this you’re basically giving up pyros best secondary,the shotgun(or the flare gun)basically this mean you can no longer pick off enemies from a far and you’ll mostly lose the pyro 1v1s people have so you must really think about ,two wonderful weapons capable of pure destruction or a one swooshy boi

Oct 18, 2017 · I doubt Pyro has that much control or versatility over his jetpack, but even so, a highground loss is a highground loss, and it helps Pyro close the gap on Demo. Pyro would likewise be better equipped to win fights that start from simple rocket jumps, since he presumably doesn't have to damage himself and running shotgun on Pyro is more common.

Apr 19, 2018 · The contracts are free and will let you test out some Pyro weapons. You can keep the weapons as soon as you complete the contract. Soon Valve might add the "new" pyro weapons to the item drop system, but for now this is the only way Good Luck :)

Aug 1, 2023 · My two pyro loadouts are phlog with scortched shot and jetpack -backburner. Backburner gets it done, and if you land the jump right you can kill people by landing on them. And it seems if you land right next to them with your pyro gun blasting you can instantly kill people near your impact site. Backburner does a TON of damage to fleeing badies.

Nov 3, 2020 · As a Pyro, the only thing that changes is the fire button. CTRL + SPACE + MOUSE2 + A/D. You can achieve maximum height by going in front off the rocket and then quickly flicking to the position of the rocket and press the keys mentioned above. If you don't flick, you won't be able to control yourself as much.

Seems like the jetpack might have kill reset like how genji has dash rest upon killing someone. Also in the video pyro uses airblast while aiming up, after jumping, but I didn't see any projectiles coming towards him leading me to believe that he also might be able to use airblast to control his movement mid-air.
