Polychrome is said to be a very rare sky fairy who is not actually from the magical Land of Oz, but belongs high up in the enchanted atmosphere within the same universe and continent of Oz and is invisible to anyone outside the dimension where Oz lies.

Oct 21, 2017 · Polychrome is just one of the many daughters of the rainbow – the literal rainbow – and she often dances off her father’s bow and into Oz. After several such adventures she’s used to it – and she seems to have grown up a little – but she always ends up wanting to go home to join her sisters in the sky.

Polychrome looked from one to another of the strange party of travelers and a bewitching smile suddenly lighted her face. “A donkey, a mortal maid, a Rose Princess and a Shaggy Man!” she exclaimed.
