Jan 25, 2006 · Pratt & Whitney and Airbus have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer the PW6000 engine to the A318 Elite. The A318 Elite is the corporate jet version of the A318. The PW6000 engine will be incorporating a number of new technologies and design characteristics enabling low cost of operations. Some more good news for the PW6000 engine.

Feb 6, 2005 · Airbus recently began testing the new PW6124A powerplant for the A318. Engine/airframe certification should be complete by the end of 2005 after about 500 hours of testing. How does this engine compare to the current powerplants on the A318? Have there been any orders for the new engine? Regds.
