All pre-employment tests in Washington State have been canceled until May 31, 2020 unless government restrictions are eased. With recent updates, facility closures, and government guidelines, this step is necessary and could be modified at any time. Public Safety Testing (PST) was formed in 2000 to assist local governments ease the burdensome process of establishing and maintaining eligibility lists for positions such as firefighter, police officer, deputy sheriff, corrections officer, 9-1-1 dispatcher and others.

Mar 3, 2022 · Interested candidates must complete the written examination via Public Safety Testing by August 29, 2024, to be considered. Successful candidates can expect further testing processes, including but not limited to oral boards, assessment labs, Chiefs interview, background check, medical/physical exam, psychological exam, and drug testing.

Jan 12, 2025 · This event is the written exam only. Required Physical Ability Tests must be scheduled and administered separately. If you are testing for an agency that requires the PAT through Public Safety Testing, it must be completed within 180 days of the written exam.

Dec 23, 2024 · Interested candidates must complete the written examination via Public Safety Testing by January 20, 2025, to be considered.
