Aug 24, 2015 · Pteromalidae - Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, USA August 22, 2015 Size: ~2mm. I don't know much about wasps in this size range. It's fun to try to get a photo of one. This one looks female. It's possible that I imaged a male of a related species a few days ago depending on how sexually dimorphic this species is.

May 11, 2005 · Yes, this is a Pteromalidae! Clues are the shape of (parts of) the thorax, and of course the wing venation! Also clearly visible is that it has 5 tarsal segments on its leg, whereas for example in the family Eulophidae they have four!
