I think the Rti A1 would be a nice upgrade. I've had Rti A1's and Rti4's. They do well for music and movies. At one point I was using the Rti4's in 2 channel for tv watching and occasional music. Yes, there is a noticable difference in sound. Although the RTI4 is no slouch, I would recomend the RTI A1's. Too me the A1's have a fuller range of sound, and matched with a CSI A4 will make a great 3 channel system, for a small room.
