I'm 91% thru Plat 1 and it is definitely a challenging lobby for me personally. I think its' pretty good.... I'm definiitely not racking up 6-7+ kills every game in Plat 1 which basically happens by default playing in the general lobby.

So the MMR difference between a bronze 1 and bronze 3 MMR player is the same as a plat 1 and plat 3 player. This is done so that as you climb you get a good feel of how much of a skill difference there is based on the ranks of those above/below you.

Sep 26, 2021 · I'm plat 3 on alt and plat 1 on main. I play the same on both my accounts. The only difference I see in my lobbies is I get gold players in my plat 1 matches and low diamond in my plat 3 games. I'd say there's not much difference. I just put less time on my main to rank it up, whereas I put more time on my alt.

That doesn't say anything though, you have to look at top percent, not player base percentage. In that top percent case, plat 1 players are in the top 10% of players, plat 3 players are in the top 5%. Plat on average is top 6%. So in the grand scheme of things it is a decent rank, yes.
