Piper McLean is a Greek demigod, daughter of Aphrodite and Tristan McLean. Piper is the Head Counselor of Aphrodite's Cabin and one of the demigods of the Prophecy of Seven. She is the ex-girlfriend of the late Jason Grace and is currently in a relationship with Shel.

I love the HoO story, it is something I reread every year, but of Piper's character has grown. In The Lost Hero, she spends this entire book's complaining about how she has to betray all of her friends and acting pretty demanding to Jason even though Jason doesn't even know who he is.

I don't hate Piper, but she does come across very much as "I'm not like other girls!" A bunch of contrived stuff happens so she can keep proving how cool and powerful children of Aphrodite can be, to the point where it feels pretty forced.

Didn't like her a lot in Hoo, but she was fine in my opinion. I actually enjoyed her and Jason as a couple. My second favorite after Percy and Annabeth.
