Jul 27, 2023 · The Carolinian Trail (1.8 km) is the most challenging trail in the Park. The stairs lead to the top of a large forested dune where you could sit on the viewing platform and watch birds pass at eye level. From here, the trail descends to the floodplain along the Old Ausable Channel. A short side trail leads to a small pond.
