Rolling Stone magazine investigative reporter, Adam Lawrence (John Travolta), travels to Los Angeles, California, to pursue an interview with a business man named Joe McKenzie (Kenneth Welsh), who was arrested for drug crimes.

A reporter (John Travolta) looks for the inside story on the fitness craze of the '80s only to findtrue love (Jamie Lee Curtis).

Travolta stars as a Rolling Stone reporter covering two hot stories. One concerns a businessman arrested on drug charges and the other is about a health club which Travolta believes is a singles bar. The aerobics instructor grants him an interview only after being assured that he is doing a glowing report of her club.

Perfect is a trashy movie about women jumping up and down in leotards, but it's also more (and less) than that, a look at the wages of the free press. Despite a number of fine performances, a few good hoots and more daunting bodies, it's far from perfect.
