Pécs (/ peɪtʃ / PAYTCH, Hungarian: [peːt͡ʃ] ⓘ; Croatian: Pečuh; Slovak: Päťkostolie; also known by alternative names) is the fifth largest city in Hungary, on the slopes of the Mecsek mountains in the country's southwest, close to the border with Croatia.
